STATE MANAGEMENT OF ETHNIC MINORITIES IN THE BINH PHUOC PROVINCE

Abstract

Nowadays, ethnic affairs is a strategic, fundamental, long-term and also an urgent issue. The consistent ideology in the ethnic policy of the Party and State of Vietnam has been defined in the Party’s resolutions and the State’s laws: Ethnic minorities are equal, unite, respect and help each other develop together. In order to implement that viewpoint and ideology, all levels and branches at the central and local levels always respect the great importance of the state management of ethnic affairs. Well aware of the circumstance, Binh Phuoc province has many programs, policies and specific solutions in performing tasks related to ethnic management. The article summarizes the basic contents of ethnic affairs, assessing the situation of state management of ethnic minorities in Binh Phuoc province to clearly identify the results achieved in the past time as well as the existing shortcomings of the state management of ethnic minority, thereby proposing eight solutions to improve the state management of ethnic minority in Binh Phuoc province.
