TRADITIONAL INSTRUMENTS OF CHAM PEOPLE AND RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CHAM - VIET THROUGH TRADITIONAL INSTRUMENTS

Abstract

Vietnam has 54 ethnic groups living together, including 53 ethnic minorities. Each ethnic group has its own cultural activities, but there are also common features of the region, so the intercultural exchange relationship between ethnic groups is natural, making our culture richer and more diverse. The two ethnic groups, Cham - Vietnamese are closely related in terms of historical origin and share the same Southeast Asian culture. Basically, Cham - Vietnamese cultural relations take place in many fields, from the form of material culture such as housing, production tools, Chung cake, Tet cake... to spiritual culture activities, customs and habits such as ancestor worship, mother worship, the concept of yin and yang in thinking about the world, and especially in the field of folklore culture. The article learns about traditional Cham musical instruments and the Cham - Vietnamese relationship through the aspect of traditional musical instruments. Thereby, in order to see the intercultural exchange and acculturation relationship of these two cultures in the historical process.
