POLICY FOR CONSERVATION AND PROMOTION OF ETHNIC MINORITY COSTUMES IN HA GIANG PROVINCE - RESULTS AND SOLUTIONS

Abstract

In Ha Giang province, with the efforts and determination of the authorities at all levels and the people, the conservation and promotion of typical values in the traditional costumes of ethnic minorities have achieved remarkable results. Not only bringing aesthetic value, expressing ethnic culture, but in the new context, the costumes of some ethnic groups also have economic value, contributing to promoting tourism through image promotion, increasing attractiveness for destinations, creating goods and services for tourism and consumption,... However, there are many difficulties and challenges, such as limited funding for conservation; awareness of conservation work of people, officials and professional agencies is still formal; the influence of foreign cultures, of the market economy, etc. From there, it sets forth requirements for innovation in the formulation and implementation of policies and solutions to preserve and promote unique cultural values to this type of culture.
