SOLUTIONS FOR DEVELOPING CHINESE SPEAKING SKILLS AT BASIC LEVEL AT HUNG VUONG UNIVERSITY

The issue of speaking skills has always attracted the attention of researchers and scholars worldwide, especially in the context of foreign language teaching and learning. When considering the overall picture, research on speaking skills in language education can be divided into four main aspects: (i) the concept of speaking skills; (ii) the position and role of speaking skills in foreign language teaching and learning; (iii) the factors influencing the teaching and learning of speaking skills; (iv) the principles and solutions for teaching and learning speaking skills. From the perspective of applied linguistics, this research proposes several development solutions for basic level Chinese speaking skills at Hung Vuong University, from both the teacher and learner viewpoints, hopefully this article will contribute a useful reference for the teaching and learning of Chinese language majors in Vietnam in the context of current international integration.
