APPLYING EXPERIENCED LESSONS FROM THE VICTORY OF DIEN BIEN PHU IN BUILDING AND PROTECTING THE FATHERLAND TODAY

Abstract

The victory of the Dien Bien Phu campaign left the Vietnamese Party and people with many valuable experienced lessons. In order to create favorable conditions for the decisive strategic battle of Dien Bien Phu, under the leadership of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh, our army and people launched strategic attacks across all battlefields. The resounding victories of our army and people across the three regions of “North - Central - South” destroyed many enemy forces, at the same time liberating many large areas of land, completely bankrupting the Nava plan of the French colonialists... This is a great lesson about the Party’s leadership, about the people’s strength of solidarity in fighting and about the spirit of international solidarity.
