Xây dựng, phát triển văn hóa, trong đó có đời sống văn hóa là một trong những chủ trương lớn của Đảng và Nhà nước trong sự nghiệp đổi mới hiện nay. Đảng khẳng định: “Đẩy mạnh xây dựng môi trường và đời sống văn hoá lành mạnh, gắn với phong trào “Toàn dân đoàn kết xây dựng đời sống văn hoá”, xây dựng nông thôn mới, đô thị văn minh”. Phú Thọ là tỉnh thuộc Trung du miền núi phía Bắc Việt Nam, là cái nôi của nền văn hoá Lạc Việt. Trải qua hàng ngàn năm lịch sử, Phú Thọ ngày nay được ví như “bảo tàng” của văn hoá dân tộc với những dấu ấn văn hoá đậm nét. Giai đoạn 2010-2020, Đảng bộ và các cấp chính quyền tỉnh Phú Thọ đã tập trung lãnh đạo, chỉ đạo thực hiện xây dựng văn hoá nói chung và đời sống văn hóa nói riêng. Nghiên cứu quá trình xây dựng đời sống văn hóa ở Phú Thọ (2010-2020) để thấy được những thành tựu trong quá trình Đảng bộ tỉnh Phú Thọ lãnh đạo, chỉ đạo xây dựng; đồng thời, rút ra được những kinh nghiệm trong quá trình xây dựng đời sống văn hóa ở tỉnh Phú Thọ trong giai đoạn tiếp theo.
